Plastic bottles, polythene bags, beer cans and thermocol boxes are being dumped straight into the stream running through the market in Changlang district headquarters. In           November last year, the district had been awarded with the Swachh City Award under the Swachh Survekshan 2021 (urban) by the union housing & urban affairs ministry. The ministry in its survey had also named Changlang as the ‘best city in innovation and best practices in the Northeast zone.’
