PASIGHAT, 25 May: Landslides with shooting stones triggered by incessant rain blocked the Pasighat-Pangin highway at 21+900 km point, causing disruption in road communication since the midnight of 23 May.
As per report, falling of stone and gravel is continuing at Billong in between Rengging and Rottung.
For the safety of travelers, East Siang deputy commissioner Tayi Taggu has issued an advisory urging the people to avoid travelling through the route especially, during night hours till 28 May.
Sources informed that PWD (highway) and NHIDCL, following the DC’s directive, have pressed their men and machineries into service to clear the road.
