PECH HOJ, 2 Jun: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) conducted an awareness camp on menstrual hygiene at Pech Hoj village in Papum Pare district on Thursday.
During the programme, sponsored by the National Commission for Women, APSCW Vice Chairperson Nabam Yahi Tad delivered a talk on the “importance of awareness programme for giving exposure and empowering the women in rural areas.”
APSCW member Kago T Yassung spoke on menstrual hygiene, while APSCW member Ngurang Nama spoke on the roles and functions of the APSCW.
APSCW Member Secretary Mabi Taipodia also spoke.
More than 60 participants attended the awareness camp. Free sanitary pads were distributed among them. (DIPRO)
