PANGIN, 30 Jan: A five-day ‘destination-based skill development programme for bakers and homestay operators’, being organised by the tourism department, began here in Siang district on Monday.
“The main objective of the training programme is skill enhancement and employment generation for the unemployed youths,” the department informed.
Addressing the participants, ADC Gyabo Pertin advised them to be disciplined and punctual during the training sessions, and motivated them to “explore the potential of tourism industry and self-employment.”
Trainees from different parts of the district are participating in the bakery and the homestay courses. (DIPRO)
