ITANAGAR, 21 Jul: Oju Welfare Association (OWA) chairperson Ratan Anya has assured to adopt five tuberculosis (TB) patients till they recover.
She said this during a review meeting of the ‘District TB Forum Committee-cum-District TB Comorbidity Committee’, chaired by ICR DC Talo Potom here on Thursday.
Itafort MO-TC TU Dr Kabak Tamar presented a brief on the performance of the district in handling cases of TB.
With regard to adoption of TB patients, IMA-AP president Dr Kesang Wangdi Thongdok assured to discuss the matter with other doctors.
Among other issues, construction of a TB hospital in Doimukh was also discussed, and the DC directed the DMOs of the ICR and Papum Pare district to “discuss and work out modalities for further course of action.”
Among others, ICR DMO Dr Mandip Perme, Papum Pare DMO Dr Komling Perme, and DTO Dr PD Thongchi attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
