ITANAGAR, Mar 20: The All Yachuli Students’ Union (AYSU) has on Tuesday, served an ultimatum to the state chief secretary on Tuesday seeking immediate fulfilment of its demands.
The union’s demands include; immediate clearance of landslide zone between Yupia to Potin road, which has been blocked by torrential rain triggered landslide; early completion of compensation process against Potin to Pangin road and immediate disbursement of compensation to land affected people against Joram to Yapap Gewko road project under the Trans-Arunachal Highway.
It has further appealed to the chief secretary to give strict directions to the Lower Subansiri deputy commissioner to ensure early construction of the said roads within 15 days from the date of submission of the ultimatum.
The AYSU also threatened to resort to democratic action in case its demands are not met within stipulated time.
