UYCZ says committed to work for youths’ welfare

ZIRO, 22 Dec: The United Youth Club Ziro (UYCZ) will work for upliftment and development of the youths here in Lower Subansiri district, said UYCZ chief patron and former BJYM national secretary Nani Opo.

Attending a programme organised by the newly formed UYCZ at a hotel here on Thursday, Opo said that the UYCZ would not be a parallel body to any organisation and would instead supplement the activities of the Tani Supung Dukung, the Apatani Women Association Ziro, the Apatani Youth Association, the Apatani Students’ Union, and likeminded CBOs and NGOs of the district.

“Sometimes there tend to be conflict of interests between various organisations due to multiplicity of works, and this is where the role of the UYCZ would be crucial to convince, enjoin and streamline the works of various organisations working for the welfare of the people of the valley,” explained Opo.

A conglomeration of prominent former youth and student leaders of the Apatani community, the UYCZ is a non-political organisation committed to work for the welfare of the Apatani youths, it said. (DIPRO)
