I-Day: DSP (PHQ) Make Bui receives presidential medal for distinguished service

ITANAGAR, 16 Aug: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), PHQ Itanagar, Make Bui, was honoured with the Presidential Medal for Distinguished Service on the occasion of the Independence Day on 15 August.

Bui had in 2020 been honoured with the Presidential Medal for Meritorious Service.

During the I-Day celebration

 at IG Park here, five gold medals, seven silver medals, and 13 commendation certificates were awarded.

Chimpu-based Donyi Polo Mission School for the Hearing & Visually Impaired, the cardiology department of the TRIHMS, the Itanagar women police station, Tezpur (Assam)-based Project Vartak, and Jullang-based NGO Donyi Polo Cultural & Charitable Trust received the state gold medals.

Jambey Dorgee Dunglen (a farmer from West Kameng district), Khonsa (Tirap) DSP Togum Gongo, Shi-Yomi DFDO Tapan Datta, government higher secondary school (GHSS) Longding PGT Jyoti Panka, Shergaon (W/Kameng) Deputy Forest Ranger Mato Bage, Pasighat-based AAPDA Mitra volunteer George Pajing, and Koloriang (K/Kumey) DSP Rishi Longdo received the silver medals.

The recipients of the commendation certificates were GHSS Pasighat (E/Siang) Principal Tagong Sitang, Changlang RFO Hangkam Tungkhang, Palin PHE&WS JE Tame Langai, Naharlagun-based Information & Public Relations Directorate Assistant Sathyan R, PHQ Itanagar Security Unit Lady Inspector Baba Potom, Changlang Fisheries Officer Dusu Nobin, ICR DC Office Assistant Section Officer Rubu Rajen, GSS Pobdi (W/Siang) TGT Sayanthan Ghosh, GHSS Likabali (L/Siang) Vice Principal Kombi Tao, Niti Vihar Police Station Lady Constable Pani Manju Joram, Research Directorate driver Nirmal Pegu, and IRBn (PHQ) Constable Techi Jamja.

The Itanagar SP office received the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration(CMAEPA)-2024 for implementing e-services and thereby transforming public service delivery in the state.

The Papum Pare DC office received the CMAEPA-2024 for “innovative lab project, creative catalyst, and speak SMART,” according to a state government press release.

The Naharlagun agriculture department received the CMAEPA-2024 “for championing of Shree Anna (millet) initiatives for the success of the International Year of Millet-2023, and for establishing a CPO mill,” it said.
