ITANAGAR, 8 Jan: Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (APLA) Speaker Tesam Pongte, in the presence of the Assembly Deputy Speaker and Secretary, unveiled the logo for the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly at his conference hall here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker urged everyone, including media persons, to cooperate for the successful completion of the Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The logo features three shades of color: saffron, yellow and white. The saffron color, inspired by the National Flag, symbolizes the strength, courage and sacrifice of the people of the state. The yellow color represents luck, fortune and a good start, while the white color signifies peace, development and harmony, according to an official release.
The theme of the celebration is “50 Years of Legislative Excellence and Progress…” The term “legislative excellence” acknowledges the present generation for the passing and adoption of landmark legislation that has shaped and fostered the growth of the state.
The term “progress” signifies the tremendous growth under the visionary leadership of both past and present leaders of the state, while the three dots represent the assurance that the Assembly will continue to strive for the further progress of the state, the release added.
