SEPPA, Apr 26: RD Parliamentary Secretary and Panchayati Raj Mama Natung on Wednesday inaugurated the steel bridge over the Pakoti river at Pakoti village in East Kameng district. He also inaugurated a community hall in Kamsha village, located more than 40 km from here.
Addressing the gathering in Kamsha village, Natung lauded the department concerned, as well as the villagers, for extending their support for construction of the bridge.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by the Kamsha Welfare society (KWS), the PS assured to provide electricity connection from Karapurang to Gawepurang village within six months, besides having the school building repaired, and providing fund for constructing teachers’ quarters and fencing for the community hall. He also assured to provide Rs 3 lakh from his MLALAD fund for renovation of the water supply system in Karapurang under Kamsa village.
“Plenty of developmental projects will be executed soon in East Seppa constituency,” Natung, who represents the constituency, said.
KWS chairman Bhim Bayang expressed gratitude to the PS for taking up the initiative to have the bridge laid.
“It was a long pending demand of the villagers,” he said, while also appreciating Natung for providing fund for construction of a community hall in the village.
