ITANAGAR, May 8: Alleging gross discrepancy and misuse of government fund in the construction of Jeju Dada to Tangangwarang village under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), the Jeju Dada Tagangwarang Road Construction Fact Finding Committee urged the chief executive officer of RWD to stop payments to the contractor.
In a representation to the department, the committee alleged that the actual length of road is 9 KM, whereas the department prepared a detailed project report of 29 KM.
The committee further sought the department’s intervention in the alleged misuse of government money.
Meanwhile, the authorities in the RWD could not be contacted by this daily to verify the facts.
