APSCW members attend national level meeting

ITANAGAR, May 9: Members of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) attended a two-day national level meeting of all the state commissions, organized by the National Commission for Women at Delhi on 8 and 9 May.
The APSCW was represented by Member Secretary Yame Higio, and Member Taba Rosy.
The meeting mainly focused on the action taken on women hostels, skill development programmes for women, development of women entrepreneurship and condition of women in jails.
The programme also included sessions on cyber crime, patriarchy and masculinity, gender and disability, and home tourism.
The APSCW team presented the work undertaken by them for betterment of women and children. They also highlighted that the state of Arunachal Pradesh is still developing and with the support of state government the APSCW is striving hard to do better for women and children.
