Simai inspects infrastructure sites

MANMAO, May 9: Braving the inclement weather, Parliamentary Secretary Laisam Simai, along with government officers, visited various developmental projects sites under Jairampur and Manmao circles of Changlang district here on Monday.
Simai started the tour from Langka village where the 10 KM long link road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is nearing completion. He expressed satisfaction on the quality of the road and asked the department to speed up the completion process.
The entourage then visited the other under construction PMGSY and RWD road at Tengmo, New Dokpey, Old Kamlao and Mamao.
At Kamlao, which was recently declared as model village, Simai inspected the newly built community hall.
The team also visited the under construction RCC bridge over the Tirap River that will connect Manmao town with the rest of the rural pockets of the circle.
Simai also visited his alma mater, Government Higher Secondary School, Manmao and inspected the construction of new classrooms.
The tour concluded after visiting the double storied T-II, 4 unit residential quarters, township road, double storied circuit house and tourist lodge at Manmao.
“It is for the first time that Manmao circle, that was once abandoned, is witnessing such numerous developmental activities,” shared the Manmao ZPM, who was also member of the touring team.”
