ROING, May 12: The three days Summer Badminton Championship 2018, which was organised by the Ita Pulu Badminton Club Roing, concluded at the Ita Pulu Indoor Stadium here on Thursday.
Aesa Keche won the boys’ U-11 single title defeating Dindo Linggi, while Wunji Michichi won the boys U-15 single title defeating Lanji Mimi.
The U-17 girls’ single title was won by Root Nyodu defeating Enume Mikhu.
Aho Miku won the boys’ U-17 title beating Wanghtak Wangsu in the final.
Sonam Tamang won the men’s single open title defeating Lahu Lingi, and the doubles title in the same category was won by the duo of Open Melo and Chironmoi Dadumia. They beat the pair of Lahu Lingi and Danu Linggi in the final.
Ambra Mena and Chiliko Meto defeated Apomo Linggi and Raju Pulu to win the men’s 40+ doubles title.
Hundred shuttlers from Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley and Lohit districts participated in the championship in various categories.
The final day of the championship was attended by IMCLS vice president Bhishen Mepo.
