AAPSU welcomes state cabinet decisions

ITANAGAR, May 12: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has welcomed the state cabinet’s decision of approving the enhancement of upper age limit for appearing in competitive examinations from 30 to 32 year, with five years relaxation for the Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribes (APSTs).
It also welcomed the creation of seven posts for various categories to strengthen the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, the initiatives for early realization of greenfield airport at Hollongi and amendments for increasing compensation amount for rape victims as suggested by the Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS).
The AAPSU informed that it had called on the chief minister on 17 December, 2017 to enhance the entry age for APST and implementation of FR 56 (J) in the policy.
While the union appreciated the chief minister for increasing the age limit, AAPSU president Hawa Bagang said that the union demands implementation of FR 56 (J) to be included as well.
