ITANAGAR, Sep 24: The Mere Vichaar Andolan Committee (MVAC) in a communiqué informed that it has decided to defer the proposed bandh scheduled for September 25.
The MVAC said that several organisations and institutions requested to postpone the bandh as it coincides with the foundation day of the All Apatani Women Wing on the same day at the Dree Ground here.
However, the MVAC assured its supporters and the general public that team MVAC firmly stands by its demands of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and Government Spokesperson P D Sona stepping down from their posts, besides return of Rs 4 crore, which was allegedly received by Sona from late Kalikho Pul.
Earlier on September 20, the MVAC had announced a bandh following non-fulfilment of its demands.
