JOLLANG, Jul 24: Young Generation advanced to the quarterfinals of the seven-a-side soccer tournament.
The team pipped Swecha Yapa to the post 1-0 in a keenly contested match at the playground here on Tuesday. Gichik Paul scored the all-important goal in the 19th minute.
Beyong Brothers defeated Langotiya Yaar 3-2 in the second match. However, the win did not help Beyong Brothers as the team, along with Langotiya Yaar, exited from the tournament, informed the organizing committee.
The third match, which was played between B Sector and Hornet, ended in a goalless draw.
