CHIMPU, Aug 7: Narmi FC crashed to a humiliating 0-7 defeat to Solung United FC (SUFC) in the Itanagar Solung Festival Football Tournament at the AAPBn ground here.
Though Narmi FC started the game on a positive note, it was the SUFC players who performed brilliantly, taking full control of the game.
Honuk Tayeng scored 3 goals while Kaying Tayeng, Kalin Tadi, Taja Bonung and Toni scored a goal each for the winning side.
Honuk Tayeng of SUFC was adjudged ‘player of the match’.
The second match on Tuesday, which was played between Gidum FC and Abor FC, ended in 2-2 draw.
Mibom Taki and James Siram of Abor FC and Siang Gao and Kaling Taying of Gidum FC were the scorers for their respective teams.
Kaling Taying of Gidum FC was adjudged ‘player of the match’.
