ITANAGAR, Aug 24: The Arunachal Teachers’ Association (ATA) on Friday said the state government’s recent decision to regularize 400 posts of contractual Integrated Scheme for School Education (ISSE) teachers would encourage the teachers who have been serving for over two decades in the state.
Welcoming the decisions taken during the state cabinet meeting on 10 August, the association in a release said the ATA “is anticipating that the government shall review the ISSE bye-law considerably.”
The ATA also lauded the decision to revoke out-of-turn appointments in the education department, and review and amendment of the recruitment rules for all categories.
“ATA also welcomes on the decision by the cabinet on the schools, which were upgraded rampantly without proper analysis, to be closed down, so that shortage of teachers can be addressed,” it said.
