ITANAGAR, Aug 25: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have in separate messages greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Describing Raksha Bandhan as “a day when siblings pray for each others’ well-being and wish for each others’ safety and happiness,” Mishra urged the people to make collective efforts to ensure the safety and empowerment of women.
The CM in his message said, “Raksha Bandhan is not only a reiteration of the love between a brother and sister but is symbolic of the love and respect each should have for their fellow human beings.” (Raj Bhavan & CMO)
