ITANAGAR, Aug 31: Claiming that the fire incident at Daporijo town on Wednesday last has completely damaged the houses of daily wage labourers rendering them homeless, the All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union (AAPLU) has on Thursday appealed to the Chief Minister to grant immediate relief fund towards the fire victims.
It has further sought establishment of a fire service station in Upper Subansiri district.
Meanwhile, the All Tagin Students ‘ Union (ATSU) has in a representation to the Upper Subansiri Deputy Commissioner on Thursday, sought early release of relief fund for the fire victims.
Expressing concern over the frequent fire mishaps occurring at Daporijo Township, it further stressed the need for deploying one more fire tender vehicle besides, construction of link roads for all colonies within the township.
