RUKSIN, Sep 2: Bosing Football Club (BFC) of Pasighat won the ‘Solung Prize Money Football Tournament’ conducted by the Berung village Youth Association.
The team beat Lali Football Club of Berung 3-1 in the final played at the playground of the government middle school in Borung on Sunday.
Koj Haniya scored all the three goals for his team Bosing – one in the first half and two in the second.
Tanag Panggeng scored the only goal of the Lali FC in the early minutes of the second half.
Koj Haniya and Kabang Pangking of BFC were declared best player and best goalkeeper of the tournament, respectively.
The winner was awarded cash prize of Rs 30,000 while the runner-up team was given Rs 20,000.
Former minister Bosiram Siram, who witnessed the match, spoke about the benefits of playing sports to remain stay physically fit and healthy.
He advised the players to strive for excellence in their chosen discipline so that they can participate in state, national and international levels in the future.
Siram also contributed money to the organizers as a token of encouragement.
