ITANAGAR, Oct 3: The Arunachal Anti-Corruption Sena-Anna Samarthak (AACS-AS) welcomed the state government’s recent notification regarding recruitment rules for appointment to the post of chairman-cum- managing director (CMD) of the Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Limited and demanded implementation of the standard process.
In a representation to Chief Secretary Satya Gopa on Wednesday, the organisation sought implementation of the standard process in all the state undertaking enterprises, like forest corporation, mine and mineral development corporation, science and technology, finance and industrial corporations, etc.
“The move will pave the way for target growth and revenue harnessing of state enterprises as per the mandate. These sectors have already suffered massive damage and incurred huge burden on the state exchequer due to corruption and political appointments in the office,” the AACS-AS claimed.
It further reiterated its demand for termination of Tungri Effa as CMD of the Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Ltd (HPDCAPL).
It said that the incumbent CMD should remain valid only to the extent up to publication of notification of recruitment rules.
“Since the government has already published gazette notification of the recruitment rules for appointment to the post of CMD, Effa should be terminated from the post with immediate effect,” claimed the AACS-AS and sought early appointment of interim CMD from the senior level secretary in the state government.
