Open air children’s science park inaugurated

JORAM, Oct 3: A new open-air children’s science park was inaugurated here at the government secondary school campus on Tuesday by Director cum Member Secretary of AP State Council for Science & Technology CD Mungyak.
The park has exhibits on mechanics, sound, pendulum etc. Students can also learn about the dinosaur Tyrannosaurus-Rex (T-Rex) in the park.
In his Inaugural address, Mungyak shared that the purpose of setting up of this facility is to promote edutainment (education with entertainment).
“Science can be better understood by experience,” he said and urged the students and teachers to use the facility with utmost care to reap maximum benefit from the science park.
The exhibits of the science park were developed by AP Science Centre.
Several officials of department along principal of school were present on the occasion. A plantation programme was also conducted during the occasion to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti.
