ITANAGAR, Oct 8: Twenty shuttlers from Arunachal Pradesh, accompanied by two officials, left here on Monday for Dimapur, Nagaland, to participate in the North East Zonal Badminton Championship.
The team comprises 10 men (5 Jr + 5 Sr) and equal number of women (5 Jr + 5 Sr) players, informed team manager Nich Bapu.
Besides Arunachal Pradesh, six other NE states will take part in the championship, which will be held from 10 to 13 October.
The championship is a calendar event of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) and is held in six zones – East, West, North, South, North East and Central, informed Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) secretary Bamang Tago.
The champions of each zone compete in the national level championship, said ASBA COC Penya Bagra.
