DAPORIJO, Oct 16: Over 500 vendors from Daporijo and Dumporijo attended a one day workshop-cum-training for vendors organized at the Rijo conference hall here on Monday under the NULM program, National Urban Livelihood Mission.
Addressing the vendors, Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf informed that proper identity cards should be issued to vendors for identification. Healso appealed to them to maintain hygiene in their place of business.
The DC further explained about various schemes launched by the Government of India for the welfare of vendors.
Daporijo Division Deputy Director (UD & Housing), Teri Taniya Reb and Dr Tade Rago also spoke on the occasion.
Later, identity cards were distributed to some of the vendors.
