Arunachal hammer Telangana 5-0, enter pre-quarters
ITANAGAR, Nov 17: Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday hammered Telangana 5-0 and CBSE Delhi 3-1 to record their fourth win on the trot at the 64th National School Games Football Championship (U-19) currently underway at Singhania University Campus in Jhunjhuna in Rajasthan.
Saturday’s wins also propelled Arunachal to the pre-quarterfinals, informed team coach Vijay Ray.
Franklin Taki, who scored two goals, was adjudged Man of the Match.
Nemar Pajing, Gospel Radeng and India Saroh scored the other goals.
The Bilat GHSS in East Siang district is representing the state in the championship.
Earlier, the state had won their opening match against Madhya Pradesh 1-0 on 15 November, and trounced Dadra & Nagar Haveli 6-1 in the second match the next day.
