KHONSA, Dec 9: The foundation stone for construction of a multistoried vendor market, under the UD & housing department, was laid here in Tirap district on 7 December.
Speaking on the occasion, senior public leader T Tongluk praised MLA Wanglin Lowangdong for providing finance from his SIDF fund for the project.
UD & Housing Executive Engineer Tai Sangkio briefed the gathering on the project, and Deputy Commissioner PN Thungon emphasized on maintaining hygiene in the bazaar area.
Lowangdong and MLA Wanglam Sawin spoke on the importance of the scheme and the benefits that local entrepreneurs could avail. (DIPRO)
