TAFRALIANG, Oct 16: In all, 28 farmers including farm women and rural youths participated in a day-long training on nutrient management which was organised by KVK Anjaw here on Friday last.
During the training, Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) Khoisnam Naveen explained to the farmers about the importance of major and micro nutrients for healthy plants besides, benefits of soil testing for evaluating nutrients. He also spoke on different nutrient deficiency of plants and urged the farmers to apply manure for healthy and sustainable soil. Methods for soil sample collection were also demonstrated to the farmer’s field. Later, Toria seeds (TS-38) were also distributed to the farmers.
