EMPHUM, Dec 20: Chowkham MLA Chau Tewa Mein inaugurated the state’s fourth health & wellness centre, at the primary health centre here in Namsai district, on Thursday.
The MLA urged the people of Emphum area, comprising nine villages, to make use of the services available at the centre, and to cooperate with the service providers. Mein also expressed concern over the “diminishing population of Emphum area,” primarily comprising Singphos, a release from the DC office stated.
Deputy Commissioner Tapasya Raghav urged the people to avail the immunization incentives being provided to the beneficiaries, as well as the Dulari Kanya Scheme, which provides a cash incentive of Rs 20,000 for institutional delivery of every girl child.
