PALIN, Jan 30: The All Kra Daadi District Students’ Union (AKDDSU) has urged the Kra Daadi Deputy Commissioner to ensure proper implementation of the ‘Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana’ in the district by properly selecting the deserving schools.
Alleging biased selection of schools for implementation of the scheme, the AKDDSU, in a memorandum to the deputy commissioner, said “many deserving schools, which should have been selected, were deprived from the scheme.”
“The immediate needs of the students have been compromised for political benefits of few individuals,” the memorandum said.
The union demanded reconstitution of the selection board involving the district and branch unions, and to complete the selection process within 10 days, failing which the AKDDSU threatened to launch a democratic movement in the district.
