ITANAGAR, Feb 8: Expressing concern over the inordinate delay in the construction of the composite regional centre (CRC) and other infrastructure in Nirjuli, the All Arunachal Pradesh Divyangjan Welfare Society (AAPDWS) has urged the social justice & empowerment and tribal affairs (SJETA) department to take urgent steps to expedite the project.
Despite having been inaugurated in February 2017 by MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju and Chief Minister Pema Khandu, there has been no headway on the project, the AAPDWS stated in a release on Friday.
“The CRC project has been delayed for nearly two years despite funds having been sanctioned. If the project is not taken up by the SJETA department within this month, the AAPDWS will be compelled to stage a peaceful dharna at the IG Park tennis court next month,” it said.
