RONO HILLS, Feb 19: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) and Bhopal (MP)-based School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) at the university here on Monday for cooperation in research and education and creating synergy between university education and professional education.
The MoU was signed by RGU Vice Chancellor Prof Saket Kushwaha and Prof N Sridharan of the SPA. It aims at creating new avenues for accessing, sharing and developing technical know-how by the two institutions.
The VC termed the signing of the MoU “a welcome step,” and expressed optimism that it would be “action-oriented and result yielding.”
The SPA has agreed to take two students from RGU on internship.
RGU Registrar (in-charge) Prof Tomo Riba, Controller of Examination (in-charge) Dr Nani Tamang Jose and Joint Registrar (Academic & Conference) Dr David Pertin, and the SPA’s assistant professor in design, Dr Sourabh Tewari, spoke on the importance of the joint venture.
