PASIGHAT, Mar 10: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein laid the foundation stone of Bogong Banggo Kebang Market Complex here in East Siang district on Sunday
Joined by state BJP president Tapir Gao, Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering and local MLA Kaling Moyong, the deputy CM noted that Pasighat was one of the oldest and most important towns of eastern Arunachal.
“In terms of connectivity, it is the best connected town and has the best medical and education facilities next to the state capital of Itanagar. With the establishment of an industrial growth centre at Niglok, it will also become the industrial centre of the state,” he added.
Congratulating the people of Pasighat, Mein lauded the efforts of the community based organization, Bogong Banggo Kebang of Pasighat and urged to dovetail the market complex with the smart city project to develop it into a modern market centre with all facilities.
He said that the market complex, which would be established in the large open area of 1, 25, 000 Sqm will provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youths and benefit them.
He assured to provide all possible support from the state government for the establishment of the market complex.
Bogong Banggo Kebang president Oyem Dai and general secretary Mongol Gao also highlighted the history of the Bogong Banggo market complex.
Among others, MLAs Lombo Tayeng, Tatung Jamoh, Nyamar Karbak, DC Pasighat Kinny Singh and SP Prashant Gautam were also present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
