ANJAW, Mar 13: About 5000 apple planting materials were distributed to 54 farmers and rural youths from the villages of Chaglongam, Abohagam, Tegamna, Taflagam, Tablaiko and Khelega Metengliang during one-day training cum input distribution programme of apple planting materials organized by KVK Anjaw at Chaglongam circle here on Tuesday.
During the NEC funded programme, Roing KVK SMS Horticulture, Rebecca Eko gave a detailed power point presentation on the package and practices of apple production. She also elaborated the different varieties, proper layout, planting season, planting distance, inter-cultural operations and training and pruning techniques.
