ITANAGAR, Mar 25: The flying squads have, as of Monday, seized a total of Rs 2 crore 27 lakhs across the state since the enforcement of the election model code of conduct.
In the capital, Rs 4,17,500 was seized at Gohpur Tinali here at around 7 pm on Sunday, SP Tumme Amo informed.
“With this, the total cash seized in the capital complex alone stands at around Rs 60,77,300,” he said.
Sources also informed that three cash seizure cases in Longding, East Siang and Nirjuli (Papum Pare) have been recommended to the income tax (I-T) department.
The recovery of Rs 10.30 lakhs from Lower Subansiri district on 22 March was recommended to the I-T department on Monday.
