PASIGHAT, Apr 27: East Siang Deputy Commissioner Kinny Singh inaugurated the regional sports meet of the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) at the KV here in East Siang district on Saturday.
Around 70 students from various KVs of Assam, Nagaland, Manipur and host Arunachal Pradesh are participating in the three-day sports meet, which includes various track and field events.
In her brief speech, Singh motivated the young students towards games and sports, and assured all possible support from the administration to future endeavours of the KV here.
Earlier, she released the school’s annual magazine.
Pasighat KV Principal Rajesh Kumar highlighted the objectives of holding the regional sports meet.
ADC (HQ) Taddo Borang, Pasighat JNV Principal S Gupta, and PWD CE M Bam also attended the opening ceremony.
Besides the host KV, the KVs of Tinsukia, Duliajan, Chabua and Dinjan in Assam, Dimapur and Tuli in Nagaland, and Tawang are participating in the sports meet. (DIPRO)
