RUKSIN, Jun 14: Pasighat (West) MLA Ninong Ering discussed various developmental issues of his constituency with the departmental heads during a coordination meeting here on Friday.
Among other things, the meeting discussed the 2-lanning of 14-km stretch of the Mirem-Mikong-Jonai road, augmentation of water supply scheme at Bilat and Ledum areas, establishment of horticulture development office at Ruksin and anti-erosion measures.
Stressing upon sustainable agriculture development of the area, which is a known as rice bowl of the state, he advised the farmers to adopt scientific cropping methods.
The heads of various offices submitted the reports of their completed schemes implemented in Ruksin sub-division. They also placed newly proposed schemes for implementation in the current financial year.
Earlier, Ruksin ADC Kabit Apang, who chaired the meeting, highlighted the needs and problems of the area, such as drinking water supply, school infrastru-cture, road communication and soil erosion.
