Retired PA and renowned priest no more

AALO, Jun 14: Moli Boje, a retired political assistant, renowned priest and folklorist of Galo society has died at his Sipu Puyi residence here, on 13 June last after prolonged illness. He was 78.
Born on 1st January 1941 at Yaari village under the Darak Circle of West Siang district, Moli was appointed as a Political Interpreter (PI) in 1967 and promoted to Head PI in 1995.
He was also elevated to the post of Political Assistant and later retired on 01 January,2005.
Moli was also awarded Governor Commendation Certificate in 1982 in recognition of his meritorious service.
He is survived by wife, seven sons and three daughters.
Meanwhile, the Lodu Ao Welfare Society has extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul. The society while lauding his immense contributions has termed his demise as a great loss to Lodu society, and a setback to institution of priesthood and Galo Society as a whole. (DIPRO)
