ITANAGAR, Jun 26: Governor BD Mishra visited the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA), the lone sports institute of the state at Chimpu on Wednesday and interacted with the students, coaches, instructors and faculty members.
Interacting with the students, the governor advised them to enhance their capability, competence and qualification. He further exhorted the students to put in hard work and maintain utmost discipline.
The governor asked the officials, particularly the coaches, instructors and the teachers to groom the students in the best ways of behaviour, attitude, sincerity and diligence.
“It is your moral duty towards the students to enable them to shine in life,” the governor told the teachers and the instructors.
Pleased with the cheerfulness, smartness and enthusiasm of the students, the governor announced that he will try to have another sports academy in Arunachal Pradesh.
Regarding certain problems and difficulties faced by the academy, the governor assured the SLSA principal of all possible help in resolving the problems of the institute.
Earlier, Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary, Dani Salu and SLSA principal Komen Zirdo briefed the governor about the institution and its challenges. (PRO to Gov)
