ITANAGAR, Aug 30: Concerned over the prevailing situation, Chief Minister Pema Khandu has reassured the people that the Lower Siang district issue is being taken up in the right earnest.
“The report submitted by the Group of Ministers, headed by Food & Civil Supplies Minister, Kamlung Mossang on Lower Siang will be placed in the next cabinet meeting scheduled for September 22, 2017 for decision,”
Pema said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) Bill 2013 was passed by the state assembly and the same was notified in March 2014. The state government is sincere in its effort in making the district functional at the earliest possible, the Chief Minister said.
Meanwhile, he appealed to the citizens to maintain peace and tranquillity in the area and to be patient. (CMO)
