ITANAGAR, Sep 13: The state legislative assembly here will soon have a museum that will endeavour to document the origin, growth and functioning of the assembly, as well as the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal.
The museum will be operational within a month’s time as 80 percent of the work is already completed.
The museum, which is being set up in the assembly premises, will have different sections, such as 3D sculptures, handmade paintings, customized 3D paintings, and photographs of former chief ministers, speakers and deputy speakers, and renowned figures of the state.
It will also be equipped with a 3D hall, which will enable visitors to see the museum from three dimensions, and a ‘selfie zone’ to take photos.
Speaker PD Sona in a meeting with the officials of the assembly and representatives of the work executing agency on Friday reviewed the progress of the work.
“The main motive behind setting up of the museum is to preserve the history of the Arunachal Pradesh assembly,” said Sona.
He asked the executing agency to complete the remaining work as soon as possible.
The meeting was also attended by Secretary M Lasa and senior officers of the assembly.
