DOLLUNGMUKH, Sep 15: Over 100 farmers participated in a training programme on ‘oil palm cultivation practices’, organized by the agriculture department at Kher Bari village here in Kamle district on Saturday.
During the programme, which was organized under the Agriculture Technology Management Agency, Agriculture Deputy Director Dani Yubbey encouraged the farmers to grow oil palm using scientific method and technology.
Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd’s oil palm division manager Tapas Kumar Tripathy explained the palm oil cultivation practices.
Saying that the climatic condition of Dollungmukh area is best suited for growing palm oil, Tripathy encouraged the farmers to take up oil palm cultivation sincerely.
Agriculture Development Officer Koj Horming also encouraged the farmers to take up oil palm cultivation, making the best use of their vast available land. (DIPRO)
