JAIRAMPUR, Sep 16: Local MLA Laisam Simai on Monday instructed all government officers to be present at their places of posting and attend office regularly.
Simai said this while chairing the second subdivision level coordination meeting between the HoDs and the public at the ADC office here in Changlang district.
The meeting was aimed at creating a congenial working atmosphere and to improve and maintain the good relationship between the locals and the HoDs.
The MLA advised the HoDs to monitor their staffs’ performances and to be punctual themselves, stating that the salaries of officials who are absent from their jobs or are neglectful towards their official obligations would be held up.
He advised the locals to preserve the water sources and the flora and fauna in all the villages. Announcing that he intends to make his constituency plastic-free, Simai sought everybody’s support in the endeavour.
