MECHUKHA, Oct 16: Claiming that absenteeism of administrative officers and HoDs has been causing much hardship to the people of Mechukha under Shi Yomi district, the All Memba Students’ Union (AMSU) of Mechukha has demanded strict action against the absentee officials besides immediate posting of independent additional deputy commissioner here.
In a representation to the Shi Yomi deputy commissioner recently, the students’ union claimed that only a single administrator, which is the DC, has been overseeing the entire administration of the district.
“All the administrators of the Mechukha ADC office, including the ADC, EAC and CO had been remaining absent from their duties since a long time due to which the general public of the area are facing much problem in getting their official work done,” the union said while adding that no action was initiated by the concerned authorities despite their repeated request to address the issue.
