SAGALEE, Oct 24: Forty-seven participants from Apop village under Sagalee, Papum Pare district took part in a three-day training Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) on organic grower, conducted by the Spices Board, Divisional Office Itanagar,
under the Prime Minister’s Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) that concluded here on 17 October last.
During the programme, which was inaugurated by Sagalee ADC S Lowan, the participants were informed about the components of organic farming, crop diversification, identification and arrangement of inputs required for organic farming. They were also imparted training on marketing, entrepreneurial activities and practicing of safety measures at work place.
Assistant Director, SB DO Itanagar Anan Debbarma was the coordinator of the training, while Spices Board DO Itanagar field officer Vevotalu Rhakho was the trainer.
