ITANAGAR, Oct 26: The 4th Ayurveda Day and Dhanwantaree Pujan were jointly observed by the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) and the health services directorate at the RARI here on Friday.
Among those who attended the celebration were Health Services Director Dr M Lego, the State Forest Research Institute’s taxonomy scientist Dr L Bhuyan, Health Services Deputy Director (AYUSH) Dr Inya Lingu, and former assistant director (Ayurveda), Dr KK Brahma.
The programme featured scientific presentations by research officers of the institute, besides exhibition of medicinal plants and crude drug items, and distribution of plant saplings.
Prizes, trophies and certificates were also distributed to the winners in the boys’ and girls’ categories of the ‘Run for Ayurveda’, which had been organized on 23 October.
