ITANAGAR, Nov 11: Officials of the health department on Monday underwent an orientation programme on satellite-based monitoring and geotagging, organised jointly by the National Health Mission (NHM), the planning & investment department and the state remote sensing application centre at the NHM’s training hall here.
During the programme, which was attended by the DRCHO and district programme managers, Planning & Investment Director (Monitoring), Mokir Ori, informed that “all government schemes shall come under one portal, and the planning department would provide one-stop solutions to all work departments for smooth execution and monitoring of government schemes and projects.
“After geotagging of all the schemes and projects, it has to be entered into the MIS, which will be automatically transmitted to the SRSAC portal,” he added.
Resource persons from the planning & investment department imparted hands-on training on ‘geotagging and development project’, and apprised the participants of the mobile application and the web portal dashboard.
They highlighted the benefits of geotagging and satellite monitoring in bringing transparency and accountability, checking corruption, and “ending the duplicity of any project.”
Family Welfare Joint Director Dr Saibal Bhattacharjee advised the participants to take the training seriously and implement the methods in their districts to ensure effective monitoring of projects.
