ITANAGAR, Nov 21: The All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association’s Pakke-Kessang district unit has demanded floating a fresh tender under the CSS ‘project tiger’ scheme in the district.
In a representation to the PCCF and the chief wildlife warden here on Thursday, the unit said that “the EMD mentioned in the tender (No PSD/22/2016/411-16, dated 19 November) is more than one percent, which is violation of the guidelines of the AP District-Based Entrepreneur and Professional (Incentive Development and Promotional) Act, 2015.”
Demanding cancellation of the current tender, the unit said the divisional forest officer of the Pakke wildlife sanctuary and tiger reserve in Seijosa should be instructed to “call fresh tender with actual EMD and eligibility criteria of the contractor for participating in the bidding process.”
“As per the CPWD order dated 6 July, 2015, an APST bidder/contractor should deposit one percent EMD from the estimated project cost in place of two percent existing earnest money,” the unit said.
