ITANAGAR, Nov 17: An eight-member Arunachal Pradesh team including four girls has left for 12 days Indo-Bhutan Adventure programme on Friday. The team members are: Taka Tamut, Tarh Tapung, Oyon Pertin and Takhe Bamin and Tashi Yangjom, Tamo Rilla, Shecho Lhamu and Paya Taku.
Dr. K Romeo Meetei, in-charge of Adventure Cell, is the team leader.
This is the 1st time that the Sports and Youth Affairs Department is organizing such adventure programme outside India.
The flag-off-ceremony was held in the office of the Director of Youth Affairs, D K Dinglow in presence of Joint Director, Ramesh Linggi, Assistant Director, Karbia Dodum and Arunachal Pradesh Mountaineering & Adventure Sports Association (AMASA) president Tsering Wange.
